Summary:

The 5th/6th Grade Teacher is responsible for planning, implementing, and assessing instruction for 5th/6th grade students in accordance with the Oklahoma State Standards. The teacher will create a positive and supportive learning environment, and will work with students to develop their academic, social, and emotional skills.

 

Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and assess instruction for 5th/6th grade students in accordance with the Oklahoma State Standards
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment
• Work with students to develop their academic, social, and emotional skills
• Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and parents to support student learning
• Attend and participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and other school-related activities
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records
• Administer assessments and report student progress
• Prepare and grade assignments and tests
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
• Oklahoma Teaching License
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to providing a high-quality education for all students
