Summary:
The Pre-K Teacher is responsible for the planning, implementation, and assessment of a developmentally appropriate curriculum for pre-K students. The teacher will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of all students. The teacher will also work closely with families to ensure that their children are making progress and meeting their individual needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
- Provide instruction in all areas of the curriculum, including language arts, math, science, social studies, and art.
- Assess student learning and progress.
- Communicate with families about their child's progress.
- Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and administrators.
- Maintain accurate records and reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Oklahoma Early Childhood Education Teaching Certification.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to providing high-quality early childhood education.
