Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify, assess, and select students for the GT program in accordance with district guidelines.
- Create and deliver differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of GT students.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support GT students in the regular classroom.
- Provide enrichment opportunities and challenges to stimulate critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Foster creativity, innovation, and independent learning in GT students.
- Counsel and advise GT students on academic and personal development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in gifted education.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to support student success.
Qualifications:
- Valid Oklahoma teaching certificate
- Demonstrated knowledge of gifted education theory and best practices.
- Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction and create engaging learning experiences.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
- Proven ability to collaborate with colleagues and build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
