Job Title: Pre-K-8th Gifted and Talented Teacher

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify, assess, and select students for the GT program in accordance with district guidelines.
• Create and deliver differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of GT students.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support GT students in the regular classroom.
• Provide enrichment opportunities and challenges to stimulate critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Foster creativity, innovation, and independent learning in GT students.
• Counsel and advise GT students on academic and personal development.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in gifted education.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to support student success.

Qualifications:

• Valid Oklahoma teaching certificate
• Demonstrated knowledge of gifted education theory and best practices.
• Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction and create engaging learning experiences.
• Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
• Proven ability to collaborate with colleagues and build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
